Set against the backdrop of Belgium's most notorious unsolved crime spree, 1985 begins as three friends - Vicky, her brother Franky, and his best friend Marc - begin a new chapter of their lives, when they set off from their hometown to Brussels. But as their adulthood and careers in the big city commence, the trio risks losing their innocence and noble illusions, as they find themselves caught in the middle of the horrifying events that shocked a generation and will come to leave a scar on the entire country.

The nerve-racking events of a cold winter's day, seen from two different perspectives. The odd episodes tell the story of a team of police negotiators and special forces who respond to a hostage crisis in a small bank branch. The even episodes tell exactly the same events, only through the eyes of the criminals inside and their victims.

Hotel Beau Séjour. Kato, covered in blood, wakes up without any recollection of what happened the night before. Moreover, nobody seems to see or hear her. Slowly it sinks in: she's dead. Who did this to her? And how come a handful of people can still see her, as if she's among the living? Why them specifically? In her search to uncover the truth Kato will discover that a lot of secrets lie dormant under the surface of her supposedly peaceful village community.

The show follows Tony as a man devastated by the abduction of his young son, Oliver, during a family vacation in France. He becomes a man obsessed, unable to accept that his child may be dead and spends years searching for him.
