This program is set in a small coastal town in Southern California and focuses on a group of attractive characters in their twenties - most of them skaters, surfers, and college students - who live in an apartment complex on the beach called the Hotel Dante.

Crusade, a spin-off from the Emmy-winning Babylon 5, describes the efforts of the Interstellar Alliance vessel Excalibur to find the cure to a plague released on Earth.

"Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years" begins two years after the end of "Lonesome Dove". After two years spent bounty hunting, womanizing, and drinking away the painful memories of his late wife, Hannah, Newt Call returns to town to find many things have changed. His brother-in-law, Austin, is now an alcoholic sheriff, who has never fully recovered from his beloved sister's death, and blames Call for it. His father-in-law, Josiah, is the town mayor, but hasn't been right in the head since Hannah died. The town is run under the iron fist of Clayton Mosby, who also cannot forget Hannah, who looked amazingly like his late wife, Mary. "The Lonesome Dove", the hotel opened in the mini-series by Ida Grayson, now belongs to Amanda Carpenter, a woman with a mysterious past and a determination on par with Clay Mosby's. Curtis Wells also gets a new gunsmith, a mysterious and feisty woman named Mattie Shaw.

The Emmy-winning Babylon 5 brought many exciting innovations to science fiction television. Computer-generated effects, five-year story arcs, and elaborate mythology made this series stand apart from what came before and point the next generation of sci-fi/fantasy series in bold new directions.

"Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" was a phenomenal television success. A much more lavish version of the popular Superman television series which had first aired forty years earlier, "Lois & Clark" focused more on the Man of Steel's early adult years in Metropolis.

The Colbys was a spin off from the popular prime time soap opera Dynasty. Jeff Colby leaves Denver to be closer to his family in California. The series starred Charlton Heston as Jason Colby. Jeff was joined on the show by his on screen wife from Dynasty, Fallon Carrington Colby.

The most successful soap of the 80s, created by mega-producer Aaron Spelling. It began in 1980 with the wedding of wealthy oil mogul Blake Carrington to Krystal Grant, and escalated into a full-blown soap opera just a few month later when Alexis (Blake's ex-wife) comes back to town starting a chain of event that will propel the Carrington family from the drama of the 1980s the chaos of the 1990s.

Since it's inception in 1952, the Miss Universe Pageant has given the world's most beautiful women from more than 80 countries something to vie for. Usually held in a different city each year, the live event spotlights contestants' performances in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Along with the coveted title, one lucky winner wins a contract with the Miss Universe Organisation and the use of an apartment in Trump Tower in New York City. For one year Miss Universe travels the world to raise awareness of AIDS, stress the importance of disease control, and to spread a general message of peace.

The Miss USA beauty contest has been held annually since 1952 to pick the United States entrant in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operates both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA.
