In the mood for some good old-fashioned gambling fun? Head on over to Howard Resort, a famous entertainment destination that's home to the voluptuous, and said to be lucky, dealer Rio. Alongside other casino dealers and staff such as the clumsy Anya and bunnygirl Elle and Ille, Rio helps tend to the whims of the resort's customers. With Mr. Howard constantly forcing her to wear more and more skimpy outfits and even a ghost tinkering with the hotel's plans, it won't be easy! Especially since Rio is the holder of a very special card known as a Gate - a card that other dealers of the world want desperately to acquire, as only then will they earn the title of Most Valuable Card Dealer...

Set in the present day, the world is struck by a deadly pandemic that turns humans into zombies, euphemistically referred to by the main characters as "them". The story follows Takashi Komuro, a Japanese student at Fujimi High School who survived the initial outbreak along with several of his classmates and the school nurse, and occasionally jumps to the perspective of other characters.

Junpei Kōsaka is in his second year of high school and tries to stay out of trouble. He is allergic to cats which is ironic because the girl he has a crush on loves them. One day Junpei makes the mistake of kicking a can that accidentally hits the local neko-jizō-sama, which is the guardian deity of cats, after the incident he can suddenly understand what cats are saying and to make it even worse he also has to grant one hundred wishes from cats, or he will be turned into one himself.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann takes place in a fictional far future where human beings have been forced underground and thrive in isolated subterranean civilizations. These "villages" have no contact with the surface world nor other villages. Since frequent earthquakes damage infrastructure, the villages must constantly expand deeper into the earth - individuals designated to this task are known as "diggers".
