In the Alps, the Clairies station celebrates the victory of its descent champion, Boris Arnoux, darling child of the country. The party is in full swing when a fire declares itself lower in the valley, in a makeshift camp. A caravan burns by enclosing a poorly housed seasonal worker in his flames. This "accident" is the starting point for an investigation carried out by Emilie Karras a young gendarme in Lyon, from the Clairies where she grew up but that she also left 12 years ago to save herself. She is forced to stay and collaborate with Major Servoz, a local and disillusioned gendarme. They will discover the meanders and pretenses of this phagocytized station by a luxurious real estate project that divides people as much as it stinks of the mountain.
