Based on the hit British reality TV Series SAS: Who Dares Wins, the Australian production has a mix of celebreties, sportspeople and convicted criminals trying to pass selection.
SAS Australia sees Aussie celebrities take on a series of physical and psychological tests from the real SAS selection process. This is not a game. There is no winner; there is no prize. These star recruits will eat, sleep and train together in punishing conditions, with no allowances made for their celebrity status or gender. An elite team of ex-Special Forces soldiers will subject them to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing, pushing the stars beyond their limits every step of the way. Some will break and withdraw. Who has what it takes to tough it out to the end? Completely unscripted. 100% real. SAS Australia premieres October 2020 on 7 and 7plus | #SASAustralia @SASAust7

The "Celebrity" seasons are usually disappointing. Thou oddly,, I seem to enjoy watching these rich, spoiled, narcissistic social misfits getting crushed by a show that they should have never signed up for. LOL
S2x11: ummmm,, I am going to have to eat those words for sure this season. This group of Celeb Aussie's are tough and gritty,, and not being let off the hook, by doing a shortened season.
S2x01: started with setting the "recruits on fire", and that was just the opener for a brutal season ahead.
I don't think I've EVER seen more scares , bruises , medical tape and folks nearly passing out, on any other season.. But that has all been followed up by an impressive amount of compassion , friendship and respect.
(well,, except for Pauly anyway.. but he was atleast trying)
And then there is the "Beasting's", a physically exhausting test designed to thin the herd and force recruits to surrender their arm bands.
If that doesn't break them, "The Cull" will be coming from the STAFF, and they will determine who has the strength and mentality to move on with the final group.
NOT "disappointed" at all.

Unless they're being paid to embarrass themselves,, which is a reported fact.
But this kind of show is perfect for LOCKY. Fame and fortune came much later in his life.,, so he is a humbled man.

I guess I'm gonna be labeled as a "reality tv" junkie here soon , LOL. What can I say,, If a show is physically, mentally and socially challenging,, I don't care what genre of tv show (or movie) it falls under,, that's my jam.
That said: When you put "reality tv" and "Australia" together,, you are gonna get something uniquely entertaining.
SAS AUSTRALIA is back again for Season 4 , their actual Season 11th season overall.
Whether hidden in the Outback, or along a rugged coast, the real stars of this show are always the HOST.
Ant Middleton never fails to deliver a team of STAFF instructors that know exactly how to push competitors to their breaking point, while encouraging them to go even further. Regardless of their previous life or background, they will come off this show a completely different person.
" WHO DARE WINS " says it all.
5 minutes in on SAS AU 4x1,, I see Locky Gilbert (from Survivor AU) is gonna give it a go this season. Hope he does well.
