In a world where spirits exist and only pure maidens have the privilege of contracting with the spirits, maidens from noble families gather at Areishia Spirit Academy where they are trained and given an Elite's education in order to qualify to become an elementalist. However, a boy, Kamito Kazehaya, is invited by the head of the Areishia Spirit Academy to attend and take part in the Blade Dance, a competition to see who the strongest Elementaler is. The winner is promised a wish of their choosing. Kamito must first survive being the only male in the Academy with a bunch of shamanistic princesses with desires and wishes of their own.
