Set in working-class Chicago, the Gallagher family, a working class family of eight, must survive the ups and downs of today's recession. With a mother who is out of her element and an alcoholic father who usually ends up passed out on the living room floor, 18-year-old daughter Fiona is left with the task of keeping her five younger brothers and sisters on the straight and narrow.
This show is a pure gold :D I'm surprised how something like that is made still in PC 2019, they are making fun of every possible snowflake out there without any brakes :D
I discovered the Gallaghers earlier this year myself, and I found their willingness to ignore political correctness very refreshing. It's pretty much a one of kind show, with a befitting name. TBH, I was a little surprised I liked it as much as I did. It may even be worth rewatching it someday...
yeah, i was surprised how much i enjoyed it.
instead of rewatching i tried watching the UK shameless, that USA version was based, on, but I could not enjoy it at all, even though i spend 5 years living in UK and enjoy UK based movies a lot.

Finished watching all 9 seasons. This show has a stable place in my TOP 5 of all time best shows.

I'm doubting it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see... Still strong characters remain w/o Fiona, but it could be the last season..
