Spartacus: House of Ashur' will be a history-bending, erotic, thrilling, roller-coaster experience that builds on everything that made the original series a colossal hit. The series poses the question: what if Ashur, played by fan favorite Nick Tarabay, hadn't died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of "Spartacus: Vengeance?" And what if he had been gifted the gladiator school once owned by Batiatus in return for aiding the Romans in killing Spartacus and putting an end to the slave rebellion?
Too bad this got cancelled, don't think we will get another attempt at a spin-off for this franchise.

Ending was good, enjoyed it as well. 7/10.
If I had to criticize on thing, it would be that the franchise lost some of it's bite in terms of intensity. Sure there were some "wtf" moments but they felt different than in the original.
They really missed out in the last fight, they should have Ashur just mop the floor with Cesar, since Ashur was trained as a gladiator. Still it was satisfying watching the end result.

Best thing on telly for me, left it open for another season, I could watch this stuff all day!
Bring back Gannicus!

I think it has improved a tiny bit but a lack of likable characters (except maybe Celadus and Korris), it's really hard to root anyone. Like do I really want the Syrian to succeed and I'm like nah. Maybe if it spins off into Caesars rise it could get more interesting, but he was a massive fucking cunt as well, so fuck him.
Something something sunk cost and it's not like I have a metric fuckton of shows going at the moment so I'll still somewhat enthusiastically finish and maybe it'll pay off.
Also wtf, this show is woke???

As it got so much praise I gave it a chance. Caught up all the way through ep6. Still terrible! No way coming close to any of the previous installments.
Just about everything in this show stinks.
And in addition, I think the story arc is quite boring

I wasn't impressed when I found out it was gonna be 'woke', but thoroughly enjoying it so far.
Ashur was one of my fav characters from the original, and deserved his own series in my view.
As with another poster, I love the way they talk (as well as the other talents on show:).
Considering recent dissapointments of latel... 'Fallout' 'Stranger Things' etc ..I can honestly say that I can't wait for the next episode! 5/5

I didn't really like the first episodes, but then again the first 3 of the original show were atrocious too. And then it went to be one of the best endings for a season in my book so I'm not giving up yet.
Also a good point, the first two episodes of Spartacus nearly made me quit, but god damn it got good, glad i stuck with it.
But then again, now you should be familiar with the style of the show, and if nothing in the first two episodes gave you anything, i dont know, maybe you have outgrown it.
My biggest gripe so far is the lack of likable characters, i hope this will get better. Too bad they killed the blond dude, he actually had some potential.

I really enjoyed Spartacus, reminded me of Rome.
Have not tried Spartacus: House of Ashur yet, but if it keeps the same style I am in.

And apparently Season 2 is already written but not greenlit yet. Fingers crossed :)
