why is this still listed as a returning series? This dog of a show was put down and canceled weeks ago.

Just watched a YouTube from a guy that's generally reliable and with a perspective that matches most of us. Apparently the Starfleet Academy and Strange New Worlds sets have been taken down, not 'stored'.
For Academy that's not surprising. They filmed seasons 1 & 2 together and there was just never a possibility or even expectation of a season 3
But SNW is a surprise because there was an expectation of "Star Trek: Year One" to be taking over with Kirk in command. We know that 'Bones' comes aboard in the final SNW season. So everything had been lining up for that. So kind of an odd development.

It has been done in various contexts non-stop for years. If with AI you mean AGI, it's not on horizon. But also with current robots you can generate a passable spam. IMDb ratings also are "adjusted", that's why never rate trash 1 there. Twitter minimum 10 years is a bots paradise.
Also ironically that cultural bs also is being amplified by bots - which then in chain of events end up in this garbage as touchy-feely Klingon :)

How bad must a show be that people won't even p1rate it?
Look at merchandise. Decades later you can see NEW Trek TNG merch like the new NERF phaser rifles. But no toy maker even wants the license for all this post 2009 trek. Eaglemoss tried it early with the ships from Discovery and went bankrupt.
Cosplayers. Go to a convention and see where the love is. Decades later you see TOS-ENT cosplayers. You see Firefly browncoats. You see Stargate personnel. You see Belters and MCRN from The Expanse. Halo guys in armor. What you don't see is KurtzmanTrek cosplayers
i have to say those numbers sound just horrible.
but quickly looking at the top 100 videos shared by those flying the black flag
and star fleet academy is not even on the list. not one episode.
scrubs, fallout, the pitt and marshals all have some presence.
(or a lot in some cases)
but i think that if no one cares to share this show only a week or two after the season is over
there could not be much demand to watch it.
and even less people who want to suggest others to watch it.
that is a no nonsense, non commercial control, zero bot, honest to whatever top 100 list of what is popular.

Wow. That article was harsh as F#@$. But if true, then a lot of money has been wasted. And the accusation of thousands of bots pumping it up, are troubling. Especially with A.I. on the horizon.

There is an article out there where the viewer numbers shave been leaked.
400,000 view for the entire season on Paramount+. .... wow! That's a whole new level of terrible.
$8M per episode to get low end youtube channel viewing figures.
On the plus size, we now at least know how big the "modern audience" is lol

You know it's bad when the actors that were on the show (SF:A) are glad it's cancelled. And I heard that Paramount won't be renewing Alex Kurtzman's contract either. I mean, when you spend $8M on a single episode for a series where the episodes don't make it into the top 10 of Nielsen ratings on a consistent basis...just wow.
And to top it all off, the OG cast (Shatner, Frakes, Spiner, etc) went to Paramount and told them if they didn't drop the woke bull**** that they would tear down the franchise after 60 years on television.
Look, I enjoyed the show, because I could look past the "woke agenda" and enjoy the storylines, but at the same time, I watch science fiction to escape reality for a little bit, not to be made to feel a certain way about real life.
