Stargate Origins focuses on Catherine Langford, the scientist whose lifelong obsession with alien hieroglyphs unearthed on her father's archaeological expedition led to the events that kick off the 1994 film Stargate.
Each episode of Origins runs 10 minutes in length, with the first season of 10 episodes available exclusively on a new website called Stargate Command.

Since the ratings are so bad they should probably give up the "Stargate Origins" name and launch something new. :)

Could this show be shown as cancelled. I can't find any links saying it has but there is no evidence they're making another season. It's been well over a year and it's a web series so they probably killed it off quietly. It's was also rubbish.
WHAT IS MGM DOING?
One thing we do know: As of February 1, 2019, MGM has not given the go-ahead to Season Two of Stargate Origins — not as another 10-part, stand-alone Web series. As many ideas as there are out there, the studio was not yet ready to commit to another season after Catherine's story was finished early in 2018.
The production process takes time, of course. If Stargate Origins Season Two were going to premiere before the end of this year, it would probably have to go into pre-production right now. So the longer MGM waits to announce something, the more likely it is that that project won't hit our screens before 2020.
We do know, however, that they are doing something. The Stargate franchise is an important part of the MGM library, and whatever the next step is — they want to get it right. This calculation may entail the cold reality that some long-time fans found the Origins Web series to be under-budgeted and off brand.
To do Stargate justice, the studio is going to have to do it right. They'll need to spend the money, and have the right creative talent in place to tell a story more in keeping with what made millions of fans worldwide fall in love with that big, round portal.

Too many misses and not enough hits for me to waste any energy typing up a laundry list. I should've took heed to the warnings in this thread. Oh well, live and learn... Good news is that there is one thing SG:O does accomplish with flying colors and that's whetting the appetite to desperately go back and watch the Stargate series of old. :D

Oh man...this show REALLY got hammered by you guys!! I really liked all SG-stuff (even SGU) but after reading all this Im not sure Im even going to give this show a chance :D ...I was allways hoping someone would call Richard Dean Anderson & DeLuise brothers and ask them to help rebooting the franchise...guess they never did that :D - but in all honesty; recreating the awesome feel that SG-1 had is close to impossible - even with those phone-calls.
Edit: wtf...10min episodes??...I simply dont get it. Why on earth do they fall into the same VERY OBVIOUS trap over and over and over when it CAN be avoided by doing things right?? IMHO both Star Treks and X-files did it just fine...so it CAN be done... oh man...I think I will probably watch it just so I have atleast done it...I dunno... Feeling a bit sad at the moment :(
