Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Sheldon, a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife's disappearance. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth - chasing his demons while fleeing her own - in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.
I really enjoyed it and that it was not a typical conclusion.

Just finished the season.
Was good overall, but the conclusion was not satisfactory 7/10.
Could've used 1-2 more episodes to build up the relationship between Aggi and Nina. They barely had a few scenes between them.
He almost got away with three murders and then just admits it to his wife and she records it...meh.
And also a FBI agent went missing and, apart from his girlfriend/boss, nobody cares?

Obviously? I have to disagree, there is more nuance to the character than "just Carrie".
Well, at least for the first couple of episodes I cannot make out any difference between Aggie and Carrie. She portraits both characters exactly the same… weird, always on the edge, angry, confused and alienating. Eyes wide open, always screaming and complaining. While also cunning and smart.

On the other hand Carrie Mathison is one of the best female characters of the past 20 years, so if she decides to play other roles "similar" to her best role - I don't mind :).
Very subjective: for me the Carrie character broke Homeland at some point. Could get me to finish through all of the swaps because I just got sick of Carrie and her attitude and behavior. The only positive thing: Yes, Claire Danes embodies the character pretty well. But then… again back to my first line: Aggie is „just“ Carrie 2.0 for me.
About great female leads… while we are at it: loved Keri Russell in the Americans. Worked so well with Matthew Rhys. If she had gotten the Aggie role would have been fun ;)

Three episodes in so far.
Pretty good story, great at building up some suspense.
Some characters could use some polishing, maybe the later episodes will work that one out.
But actors / actressess do a great job. We also have a stellar cast all around with not just Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys - we also got Jonathan Banks, Tim Guinee, Brittany Snow and Natalie Morales.
I would think the story would be better if the FBI angle was a separate story line and they would only come together later in the season. But it works like it is also fine.

This isnt the type of story I typically gravitate towards, but I like Claire Danes, so I am giving this one a try.
Same, but I also gave The Essex Serpent a shot, her first show after Homeland...that didn't turn out too well :) - not her fault ofc, just not that good a story / writing.
