The Flash

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma.

Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only 'meta-human' who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion - and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R.

Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won't be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become... The Flash!

This version of The Flash started with a recurring character on Arrow.

Some 20-ish years before you were born there was another Flash series. If you can find it somewhere, it might be fun to watch.

Fun fact: The guy (John Wesley Shipp) who plays Barry Allens father in the 2014 version also played Barry Allen / The Flash in the old series from 1990.
...and Mark Hamill plays James Jesse aka The Trickster in both.

I kinda grew up with The Flash.. I started when I was 6 in 2016 and he's been my favourite.. but many here has seen the arrow first and grew attached to him, which caused you to find many “not as good as arrow” things. But me, I didn't really like too much violence and blood so I stayed in the flash and haven't watched any of the other arrowverse series.

This show is genuinely good. And there will be no show I would love more than this. It's understandable as to why many dislikes it.. indeed it's writing and cgi got worse and it got closer to the end, I agree to that as well. But overall it was a pretty good show. While others and glad that it ended, I wish there would have been just one more season.

Well that was an uninspired and pointless ending… and while I believe it was shite for most of its run (pun intended) I also believe I shall miss it… it was nice to have an basically unoffensive cheesefest of a superhero show on. Everything is so EXTREME nowadays

would some one summarise the ending so I do not need to watch it? did the Flash and his missus depart for eternity?

"The Flash is now cancelled/ended" is the greatest notification i've ever gotten from anything.

The last half of that finale really did a nice job simulating how boring it would be to be the flash. I just kept upping the playback speed and it didn't matter.

how will Flash end? He and his wife go into the flash stream for eternity with eternal bliss, like Arrow did?

Who cares? As long as it ends! :)
