At the end of the day we're all different, and I ignore ratings. Just because everyone on IMDB loves a show doesn't mean I will. Just because Rotten Tomatoes gives a film 100% doesn't mean it's great - to me.

I watch things because I'm either drawn to them for some reason or I just fancy watching them. If a friend with similar tastes to me recommends a TV show or a film then that's a bit different, but it's no guarantee I will agree with them.

But votes and users ratings... Nah.

Totally agree with graybags. Fancy that........an Aussie agreeing with a Pom!! Wonders will never cease. :P

Come on, I bet we both agree Fosters tastes like piss :)

Actually........ALL BEER tastes like piss!!!! Jack Daniel's is my poison. Cheers. ;)

Ha ha, mine too! Jack and coke and Guinness, that's all I drink. Cheers :)

Agreed................but ratings mean shit!! YOU either like it or not..simple.

Ratings, to me, are more about popularity than anything else. I am not sure there is such a thing as a totally objective viewer. You might think a show that gets a 9/10 is objectively a great show, but there are those that will say its not.

Breaking Bad, a show that has an overall rating of 9.5/10, one of the highest rated shows ever received 49,000 1/10 votes.

Yes, but it's vital to mention that those 49k votes equal only 2% of user ratings, underlining that it's a quality show. :)

Shows that are less good most often have a higher 1/10 percentage, Citadel: Diana for example 5.9%.

I TOTALLY disagree lighton.........let's say EVERY person in the world rated a show a 10, EVERYONE, it might make it a popular show but it doesn't mean that it's a GOOD show......nor a QUALITY show for that matter.

Back to The Hack, I am midway through 1x6 and finding it to be a very good watch. I would describe it as a political drama with some police procedural and crime elements.

Recommended!
