I stayed with the first ep to the end, hoping it would get better, it didn't.

Really wanted to like the silliness - the world needs more of that daftness - but Mike Myers appears to have completely lost his writing touch. Just clanger after clanger. I bailed after 10 minutes.
Will gladly give it another burl if someone tells me it gets better

I can't say that I love Mike Myers, but I may one day check this out. The trailer wasn't too bad.

this got a TERRIBLE review in one of the major UK newspapers ( The Telegraph?) "Want to know why Netflix is in trouble? Watch Mike Myers' infantile new comedy...The Pentaverate is crude, obnoxious, unfunny – and looks very expensive. No wonder the streamer's subscribers are voting with their feet" why Netflix has gone to the dogs. The Guardian newspaper liked the silly idiot though"It is a sweet, silly, charmingly harmless thing – and funny, if you like that sort of thing,".
I can't stand the man my self makes me want to puke more than ST Discovery or Picard did. He has the sort of facial expressions I just want to keep slapping and slapping and slapping. So I will pass on this show.

This is classic Mike Myers humor. If you like Austin Powers movies you just might like this also.
Somehow this is a continuation to the 1993 movie So I Married an Axe Murderer.
What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347?" As the series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly save the world himself. Remember, the Pentaverate must never be exposed.
