The Undoing centers on Grace Sachs, who is living the only life she ever wanted for herself. She's a successful therapist on the brink of publishing her first book, has a devoted husband and young son who attends an elite private school in New York City. Weeks before her book is published, a chasm opens in her life: a violent death, a missing husband, and, in the place of a man Grace thought she knew, only a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster, and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and herself.
It basically just did a 360 to get its ending, character development be damned.
Still a good show (at least till the end when it all went wrong and weirdly so).
Ah, ok... I didn't watch the show, but it always sucks if something doesn't fit to the previous character development. :)
It totally didn't, whole ending was out of the blue and very wtf!
Basically watched it because I like both of the two main actors, but I really wish the writers had worked a bit harder on character development.

Well okay, if she was at all functional then she would have noticed.
The show presented them as a happy couple doing happy couple things, so I don't think we need to factor in depression.
