This Country is a sitcom series which takes the mockumentary format. It explores the lives of young people in modern rural Britain, focusing on cousins Kerry and Lee 'Kurtan' Mucklowe and their life experiences in a typical Cotswold village.
Niche isn't bad, it's just that you have fewer people to talk about it. ;)
Yep, same here, I've tried some "loved by millions" shows from around the world - not for me! But I totally enjoyed Game of Thrones.

I was attempting to point out (with some humor) that a show like This Country has little chance to be appealing to a wide audience all over the world. It's quite niche.
If I'm honest, most of the shows I like are "quite niche". I tend not to be into the mainstream stuff. I don't do it to be cool, it just is.
One of the biggest comedies of recent years here in the UK is Gavin and Stacey. It's loved by millions, and in the UK, if a TV show is watched by millions, then that's a lot of people. I hate Gavin and Stacey.
So I'm fine with This Country being niche.

Introduce us to the next Devs or Outsider and you'll get more positive feedback. :D
Apples and oranges? Very unfair comparing those shows to This Country.
But hey, if you can explain why you're an admin after being on here only two years AND recommend shows as good as This Country, then all power to you.

Regarding the 'time to admin': you can only see what's visible in the forums, not the (virtual pile of) mails that most likely contributed to santah's decision. :)

It's great though that there is something out there for everybody.
The linked trailer was mildly funny, but I won't watch the show.

Yep, I'm a huge fan. I've been to where it's set lots of times (Cirencester) and I can confirm that characters like Kerry and Kurtan exist there in real life.
