Two high school boys find a girl in the woods after being attacked by a monster. One of the boys transforms into a beast and the girl is integrated into their lives.

The group, including a drunken American scientist, hang out, go to school, and take trips while the girls learn about the human condition. They encounter strange monsters and question the value of relationships and love.
