Fun fact: if you smoke enough pot, the whole world turns into a David Lynch movie.

Twin Peaks: Is David Lynch Working on Another Revival?

Twin Peaks fans may have some news to get excited about next year. Rumors of a possible fourth season have surfaced in recent weeks.

The rumors began with a tweet from the Hollywood Horror Museum. Jennifer Lynch, the daughter of David Lynch, is a board member of the museum. The tweet teased a possible return of Twin Peaks.

I really think you are wrong there.

Nope, he's not. But someone might be...

I enjoyed some of it to be sure, some of it I sat there and thought WTF (in a good way) but it was way too long and self indulgent. You could literally have skipped 14 or 15 of those 18 episodes and not have missed anything really important to the story of Twin Peaks.

16 odd episodes just to get Cooper back and not behaving like a retard? The vast majority of it was filler that had nothing to do with the central story.

and tbh most of the direction and acting seems so amaturish it's not funny....maybe I just dont "get" Lynch. Actually I full expect that to be it.

I know most of the actors are decent or very good, yet the performance and deliveries they gave were again amateurish, I can only assume thats how lynch wanted it to look?

I'm not averse to alternate realities and a lot of the concepts he put in there but again, they were poorly implemented imo and to spend 15 minutes of the final episode just watching Cooper and "Laura" sitting in a car driving....the guy is seriously just taking the piss out of the viewing audience and laughing at all the armchair analysts proclaiming it a masterpiece.

Anyway, glad to hear some of you enjoyed it. I just hope someone out there with too much time on their hands does a re-edit and cuts out all the crap and just includes the story elements that relate to the real story....I'll probably enjoy 2 hours of that.

Absolutely. And kudos to Showtime for giving him and Frost money to do w/e they wanted.

See, the thing with Lynch is that you watch it for the first time and you have no idea wtf happened, but when you come back and think about stuff, and rewatch it within the context of knowing future events, it all starts to become clearer. Totally agree. I think he's the closest thing out there to a genius writer/director we have. And I don't say that lightly.

I want those 18 hours of my life back....

That's fine, it isn't for everyone.

I personally loved it. There isn't a writer or director out there who compares to Lynch. Nothing looks, sounds or feels anything like Twin Peaks and there are no more seasons of Twin Peaks, the world will be worse off for it.

I agree. It was a glorious mindfuck (excuse my french) to start the week with, all confused and amused.
