Restaurateur and accomplished chef Mark Estee lends his expertise to restaurants on the brink of failure by going undercover to see what is really happening behind the scenes. Mark meets with down-on-their-luck owners to find out what they think is going wrong - but what they don't know is that Mark and his team have installed hidden cameras and listening devices throughout the restaurant, and the undercover mission is already underway. Mark poses as a customer and a member of the kitchen staff to become a trusted insider and discover if the owner's suspicions are warranted, or if there is more than meets the eye. When he reveals his findings to the owner and staff, secrets and tensions reach their boiling point.
