The particular polish AK (resistance movement) group in the series is portrayed as very anti-semitic. I was just guessing this could be a touchy subject.

Yes in Part 3, this is exactly what offended some people.

Well, we were back then a very anti-semitic nation (and kinda still are, not to mention racism and nationalism).
:| really? Anyway - which nation isn't ? :/

Well - in Germany - if you cover WWII from any angle, somebody is always offended, so no surprise there :P

It's a quality drama show, I can't imagine why anyone would be offended by it. It has beautiful photo, and some scenes are very strong, making my eyes well up.

edit: was it the Polish who were offended?

I haven't seen it myself yet tho.

Hmm - interesting - didn't know it's supposed to be that good. Unfortunately I missed it - on purpose. Maybe I revise my decision in a couple of weeks - depending how this topic goes ;)

Anyone seen it?

edit:
New favourite miniseries? I think so. I'll break it up into 45 minute "episodes" to make it last longer.
Refreshing to see a nuanced story instead of "nazis are bad mmkay?".
