Gave episode 2 a shot, nope - dead on arrival.

One quote from the episode (don't think this is a spoiler):

I want you all to think beyond your specialties. Everyone who comes into this clinic is a puzzle.
They don't need doctors, doctors are everywhere. Our patients need detectives.

If I were a doctor I think I would be insulted by that.

I watched the first episode but it did not hold my attention I kept doing other things. So not one for me I won't be bothering with any more episodes.

I like medical mysteries so I'm going to give it another episode or two, despite generally disliking Sherlock "spin-offs". It also seems weirdly familiar, especially since Chestnut played a doctor in Rosewood and - as the OP mentioned - similar to House.

My heart broke a little with their choice of actor to play Moriarty. I love that guy and I'm sure he'll be great, but it's sad for me to see him playing a bad guy. But no actor wants to be pigeon-holed.

Yeah... The trailer doesn't do it for me, Watson in the medical context feels a bit forced...

First episode doesn't look very promising. It's basically a poor version of
But it is a "Pilot" so let's hope for Episode 02.

The writing is not very good and feels off most of the time.
The characters are barely introduced and so far they don't seem very interesting.

Watson feels also a bit off to me, never read the books so only know the versions seen in movies and tv shows. But I can accept Watson, the twins on the other hand are the worst of the characters - don't like them at all.

Ingris says "you should me ask the questions before you answer them"...ok so far so good, but then Watson says the same thing to her even though she didn't say anything...huh?

Sasha asks for another centrifuge and his response is "this is the best lab in the country...figure it out"...meh...if you need a centrifuge to do your work and you can only fit so many samples into it, there is nothing to figure out. Stupid response.

A clinic that is open for two months gets 200 patient applications every day?...yeah right.

"Can we take patients from Malta" - "Of course we can, Malta is an island" - omg...

Near the end where Watson asked for a surgeon... I can accept all the available surgeons being in surgery but to say "the briges are closed"...what kind of hospital has all surgeons out...

The resolution of the case wasn't satisfactory at all...they mentioned Holmes being the only one who can pull of the word Eureka...well this Episode is definitely missing a "Eureka-moment" :)

They probably tried to hint at the clinic being new with the "200 patients" and the much needed "second centrifuge"...but they didn't go through with it.
It should be visually seen that the clinic is new...boxes everywhere, people overworked and underslept, trying to hire secretaries, money problems etc.

They should've also explained how the Holmes Clinic is working together with the University Hospital of Pittsburgh.
