There is a small village called Jimuna on the continent of Jamu Jamu. This village is home to a girl named Kukuri. She is the last descendent of the Migu Migu Tribe. Ronin Warriors, originally Yoroiden Samurai Troopers in Japan, is one of the oldest anime series to air largely uncut to international markets. Since its U.S. re-broadcast in the summer of 1995, its popularity and fan-following has grown tremendously. The story is about five young men with mystical armor fighting to save modern-day Japan from the evil Talpa, who wants to take over the mortal world. The series contains 39 half-hour episodes and 3 movies: Gaiden, Kikoutei Densetsu, and Message. It is one of the most faithful animes to be broadcasted on basic cable; the footage was never cut or edited, and the dialouge remains true to the original.

After the Army of the West suffered a crushing defeat in the Battle of Sekigahara, Takezo and Motohachi broke free from jail to hurry back to Miyamoto village so that they could reassure Motohachi's mother, Osugi, of their survival. Motohachi is engaged to Otsu, yet enroute to home, he was so bewitched by a voluptuous woman named Oko and her daughter, Akemi, that he ran away with them instead if heading home. While in pursuit, Takezo chanced upon Otsu and had rescued her. Unfortunately, while running away from their pursuers, Otsu had fallen into the river and fell sick. To save her, Takezo decided to head to Himeji Castle to seek help. Once there, he was promptly jailed. After 4 years of incarceration, Takezo was freed and the lord of the castle, Ikeda Terumasa, together with Takuan, gave him a new name, Miyamoto Musashi, as he embarked on a journey to improve his sword skills.

She seems to be the only one who sees the "black ashes", and when she asks the detectives around her, she isn't dealt with at all. But ... Besides Mio, there are two men staring at "black ashes" ...! ?? Their names are Misa Shinki and Sho 500tsu. When they come, the case is always terminated and the truth is buried in the darkness.

She is therefore surprised when she finds out that she has been forced into an arranged marriage, and that her husband-to-be is none other than Shinobu! The story then has many twists and turns, as Shinobu has to fight in the war, Benio has to wrangle with the idea of getting married, and getting along with her future in-laws and employer. Meanwhile, the great Kanto earthquake looms in the future...
