A young tech billionaire builds the ultimate cutting-edge hospital that treats only the most rare and insurmountable medical mysteries. Lending credibility to this new venture is a maverick surgeon who's the first to discover that his boss's mission is to get bureaucracy out of medicine, use the most forward thinkers in technology, and just save lives-including his own.
Storyline-wise, its a pretty pedestrian medical soap, and that type of show relies on casting identifying the right actor for each character to engage the audience. That simply hasn't happened with Pure Genius. No-one on the show does a bad job, but there is no character worth investing in either, so the show is pretty flat.

Yep it's not bad, it's no Dr. House but it's different in a good way.
Agree.
Not a bad show, it's biggest drawback for me being the casting of the two male leads. Neither is remotely believable in his respective role.

I like it, I'm not a medical show fan either but this one is different.
I don't normally like medical shows but this one is attractive. It's a bit on the wild side in approach and interesting dynamics. If following episodes are as refreshing as the pilot, I think it's a keeper.

I am not surprised.
