I was needlessly worried I wouldn't like the show after Justin left but damn if it hasn't gotten better imo. Way more intense stories, better writing overall as well.

Season 8 Episode 1 was great.
It's one of those episodes that makes me want to wish for a serious version of that show.
Summer, holy F...did not see that coming that she is responsible for the war and was watching Morty. That was dark imho.

Took me 4 or 5 episodes before i started to enjoy it at all as i found the burping whilst talking extremely irritating. So glad i persevered as it is now my favorite program ever :) - so clever, so funny, so original. It even got me to make a first forum post after using this site for many many years.

For context I can say I like other american cartoons like South Park.
last season of southpark was so annoying... rick and morty is a breath of fresh air in the sarcastic cartoons, that tackle the meaning of life ;)
