I liked it better than the Mayfair Witches, but wouldn't lose any sleep over it being cancelled.

Assuming it gets a second season, it may clarify itself.

I'm not coming back for season 2.

Finished this one. Lots happens in the finale. The way it ended, a second season is obviously intended.

7.5/10 if it gets a second season.
6.5/10 if it doesn't (too much unresolved).

1x4

Pretty clear the one storyline we got is all were going to get. But it is growing on me in a good way.

I think her Talamasca character is English. I figured that she was around and must have hung out with real British actors (and other Brits), so I'd think - her being an actor - she'd have picked up how to do a poshy English accent. Hers sort of fades in and out. However, I will say that might be planned seeing as how her character has been in the US for quite some time, I guess.

I didn't get the impression "Helen" was English, especially as she's leader of the New York motherhouse.

But I guess since it's an original work (and I assume an original character, too), anyone's guess is as good as any other at this stage! :) Maybe we'll get more back story for her in time, that'll clear her origins up.

I'm just not buying Eliz McGovern's accent. After all the exposure on Downton, you'd think she'd have nailed it.

What do you mean? She's an american actor, she played an american in Downton, and again an american in Talamasca.
