Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 (JP)

This is a remake of the OVA series that was released in the late 1980s. It's the year 2040, and Tokyo is in the process of being rebuilt following a devastating earthquake. The Genom Corporation has mass produced a population of humanoid-looking robots called Boomers to perform much of the menial tasks around the city. However, some of the boomers have started "going rogue" and destroying things. Even the appointed AD Police squad is having a hard time with them. Enter the Knight Sabers, a mysterious group of women, who are ready to battle any rogue boomers with their specially designed armored hard suits. Opening Theme: "Y'know" by Akira Sudou Ending Theme: "Waiting for You" by Akira Sudou Characters Priss Asagiri - lead singer of the rock band Seikria. (Blue Knight Saber) Linna Yamazaki - newly employed office worker for Hugh-Geit (Green Knight Saber) Nene Romanova - communications officer with the AD Police (Red Knight Saber) Sylia Stingray - owner of the Silky Doll boutique and lingerie shop (Silver Knight Saber) Leon McNichol - AD Police officer Daley Wong - AD Police officer Nigel Kirkland - mechanic and owner of K's Garage Mackey Stingray - Sylia's younger brother who helps out Nigel Quincy Rosenkroitz - chairman and president of Genom. He's kept alive by external machines in his advanced age. Brian J. Mason - CEO of Genom. He hopes to take over the world along with Rosenkroitz but has a deeper agenda. Meisio Henderson - Sylia's butler.
