The series will follow, a physicist, professor, and family man who - one night while walking home on the streets of Chicago - is abducted into an alternate version of his life. Wonder quickly turns to nightmare when he tries to return to his reality amid the multiverse of lives he could have lived. In this labyrinth of mind-bending realities, he embarks on a harrowing journey to get back to his true family and save them from the most terrifying, unbeatable foe imaginable: himself.
Season 1 final eps: Jun 2024
Season 2 first eps: Aug 2026
So... Jun2025, Jun2026 (that's 2 years), jul, aug... 26 months?! It takes 26 months to produce 10 episodes these days? WTF? For a show that primarily lacks a ton of special effects? Sure there's some but its basically modern day 'Sliders' where the majority of the work is carried by the actors pretending to be a parallel world that's not quite the same.
Hollyweird needs to go back to 1990's technology where they could product 25 episodes every year on time; starting every September. Whatever amazing whiz bang tech they're using now is causing a 700% slow down.

Man you're so, so right. What happened to the SG-1 days when we had seasons that would air weekly for like half a year or better? I miss those days. It's a major limiter to telling stories too because your cast is aging years between seasons. Stranger Things would be the best example of this.

So I grabbed all 9 episodes of Dark Matter 2024. I have no idea what its about. I fell asleep during the first episode and second. It is boring and slow as heck for me. I do not see what you people see. I am just super glad I did not have to sub to a streaming service so I could check it out.
This one is going in the trash. Hope you guys and gals who like it, get a well deserved second season.

:D Sure, it could have been done better, but it was still pretty good. :)

Just started this tonight, got as far as episode 3 and canned it. My lowly intellect would have seen that all was not what it seemed pretty quickly, it doesn't take a genius, if given my line of work (assume i'm a theoretical physicist), what I know about the theroies i've done work on (says in ep 2 I think something like 'He did it! He did what I was working on', that I could be in an alternate universe, but it takes this genius SOOO long.
And then, when he realises (after reading his alternates notes from his alternate house) what does he do or say? Nothing. In fact, communication (or total lack thereof) seems to be the theme of this particular series. So much could have been explained to him right at the beginning, if of course he, and they (the people that think its a good idea to put somone who's just returned from 'somewhere' after months and months into a goldfish bowl with people staring at him) acted realistcally, which of course does not happen.
Wasted a couple of hours of my life on this nonsense!

First I got excited when I seen the title Dark Matter.
But it was only because I thought it was this.
