Legion introduces the story of David Haller: Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he's confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real. He's based on the Marvel comics character Legion, the son of X-Men founder Charles Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy in the films), first introduced in 1985.
Very rarely I finish a show I completely don't like, if I'm still watching there's usually something in particular that keeps me watching, even if it's at the bottom of the list. 'Hate viewing' is liking some tiny aspect of the show but hating the rest of it and complaining about everything which sometimes turns into 'Ironic Viewing' or 'Guilty Pleasure Viewing'. This would be a good discussion topic. :D
I watched season 1 of Legion and liked the creative sets, atmosphere, cinematography, the psychological thriller bent, and Jemaine, but it went too horror for me and just felt like unhealthy viewing, so I have no desire to watch more.
Haha... I value my time too much for 'Hate Viewing' and 'Ironic Viewing', but I can understand 'Guilty Pleasure Viewing'. ;)
True, Legion went dark at times, but then it felt cathartic to come out at the other side of it. :)

How can you watch so many episodes of something you don't really seem to enjoy? :)
Some of us are flawed that way, when you start something - it must be finished even if one hates it.
Hehe... I used to do it like that when it came to at least finishing a season, but I'm more ruthless these days. ;)
Ruthless? lol Not true.

It's very rare that I drop a show once I've invested a fair bit of time in it. I think I always hope that I will suddenly start to like it. I did that with Legion, watched the whole first season and just thought no, I won't bother with the next. I thought it tried to be far too clever, kind of like what Hannibal was like - which I also dropped.

Wow, you really didn't like it... :D Maybe it's a love it or hate it thing. :)
There are so many things I love about the show... since you seem to have given up watching prematurely, you'll have missed ... ...the Time Eaters/ Time Demons in the last season. Those alone (with the visual and sound effects used and their impact on the story) were done so, so well! <3
