I rewatched this show last night and rather enjoyed it bar the blaming the partition of India on the British who were oppressors which was a big yawn. One of the better short run shows. They certainly went to lots of trouble over the last train scene, I suppose cgi, very convincing.
Hmm. I watched it once and that was more than enough. Crap.
The only real good thing about the show was the main character.
Kamala Khan had the potential to be the next Spiderman in terms of a young and naive character who needs to learn the reality of being a superhero.
Unfortunately every single storyline in that show didn't suit her character.
She was also the only good thing about "The Marvels".

Yeah this wasn't cancelled, it was just a limited series. It was always going to be 6 episodes independent of viewer numbers.

In season 1 there are 6 episodes.
But after the 6th episode the show is canceled, this is not good. Many people watched this show, so I dont understand why Disney canceled it. They say about 775 000 people watched each episode in US households, and those numbers are American watchers only. BUT Disney+ does not only run in the US, but how many watched it it Austria, Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Bahrain, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Palestine Territories, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, U.K., Vatican City, Yemen, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, across Latin America, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. So I dont understand why they only use US Hoseholds to use their viewer ratings of 775 000.
So how many people watched Ms. Marvel world wide. That's a problem with US companies, they only use US data, to cancel shows, orders or shopping. Then let Norway only use Norwegian sales for military excitement, so we can cancel orders from other countries like the US. Just saying this because of its wrong that countries only use their own countries numbers.
You may know she will next appear with the Eternals. I think the show was intended only as an intro. Some thing similar happened with Hawkeye - the introduction of the new one? where will she next turn up? These shows are not like Stargirl which are standalone shows?

@merc That was Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) from the movies. Presumably they're doing some version of how the nega bands worked in the comics - switching the wearers' bodies between the negative zone and the regular world. All this stuff in the comics was with the dude Captain Marvel, a Kree, and Rick Jones, a really annoying character they just refuse to ever get rid of. If you want the whole story I'm sure there's a yoobs video explaining it.

hmm bored, so her super powers are stepping stones and mega sized fists so has the rather plump asian teen been replaced by a skinny blond white girl? or is this what she becomes when she does supe stuff? what ever seems a cop put, and a smack in the face to the Asian ethos of the show? couldnt they have found a skinny bodacious asian girl for the transformation? seems rather strange , to have changed her race, plump little asian girls are NOT super heros
well Stargirl returns early September so not long to wait for the real thing

Ended up being ok, at least much better than moon knight. Was watching the end thinking ok, so mutation. Was a lot of speculation this was how they were going to get the X-men in. At least they're just leaving the bands for her powers and not doing the comic book thing with switching to the negative zone.... doh!
I much prefered Moon Knight. I thought Moon Knight started off well, then got worse as it went on, until I didn't like the last few episodes at all.
Agree, of the two I prefer Moon Knight and of the six Disney+ MARVEL series I'd personally say it goes Loki, WandaVision, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Falcon & Winter Solider then Ms Marvel...
The thing is, judging this series against programing made for a more adult audience is doing the series a disservice... I love the comics (as I have mentioned many times, I know) but even that is aimed a younger audience than say Iron Man and Thor books... heck even Peter Parker Spider-Man books.
And YES that ending was so saccharine I had to take some insulin in order to make it through to the end but, forwhatitwas, it was okay.
I would say there are lots of better tween superhero live-action series but really what are the contenders?
Sure there are plenty of movies; Ben 10, Zoom, Shark Boy & Lava Girl, Sky High, the Witch Mountains to start... however save for this series and Stargirl what do we have; Naomi , The Thundermans, Henry Danger, there's always the many incarnations of the Power Rangers or perhaps if we broaden the definition we can include The Sarah Jane Adventures... or add a deep cut like the classic My Secret Identity (I watched a lot of retro tv as a kid ;))
Seriously though I can't recall many other series in this niche that really was all that much better, so as this kind of thing goes... it was okay.
I wouldn't say it's anywhere near as well done as the source material but that's a lot of adaptations. In some ways it's also so very different it may even cause some confuse with new readers who convert from the Disney+ series (which makes me wonder if at some point, say after Secret Wars, she may end up with more comic book like powers).
As for the mutation thing... it was totally crazy they played the X-Men theme as Bruno talked about it but I really think that's just going to be a throwaway line some kind of red herring to keep the internet conspiracist engaged in MARVEL goings on and shenanigans until the next MCU thing... But I could be wrong.
That post credit ending was wild and it does have me intrigued :p
