What if your life was upended in an instant? What if your spouse or your child disappeared right in front of your eyes? Was it the Rapture or something even more difficult to explain? How would you rebuild your life in the wake of such a devastating event?
Last year I watched "Lost" for the first time and it's definitely the most frustrating series I have ever watched! :D Several timelines, constant flashbacks, jumping to the past, then to the future, travelling through space and time... From time to time I had to take a break for a few days before continuing. :D But I'm glad I watched it until the end. :) Unlike many other viewers I liked the ending. :)
"Watchmen" wait for their turn. :p :D
According to the ratings: continue! But stop if you really dislike it. ;)
Many people liked the series and it is often recommended, so I decided to give it a try. I will probably watch until the end. It's just that the type of suspense is different from the one in "Lost". In "Lost" you are eager to see what happens next, but there are many situations in "The Leftovers" where people aren't believed to or are mistakenly accused of something or mixed with someone... I don't like those types of shows - they make me feel anxious. :D Yesterday I literally stopped watching in the middle of the episode 5 because of it. :D

I'm watching the series for the first time.
I liked season 1 - the pace, character development, several parallel stories... I'm in the middle of season 2 and I don't know whether to keep watching this or not. Every episode is based on the feeling of suspense and creates anxiety, but actually nothing really happens. All stories seem like side stories, that are actually irrelevant for the REAL story. Something that could be resolved in 15 minutes drags through the whole episode. There are a lot of new characters, the setting is completely new, but they don't get enough attention. Mystery is one thing and confusion and mess are another. I'm really struggling with episodes...
Should I stay or should I go? :D

The soundtrack is amazing. I really recommend this show to anyone who has the patience. The story is really great. I can't stop watching.

Excruciating. It meandered all over the place, with annoying and unlikeable characters doing inexplicable things. I forced myself to watch the second half of season 2, just in case it got better. It didn't.

The first couple of episodes are a little hard to watch but I think the payoff has been immense for those who have stuck with it.
Ok, this explains it, same as Lost, a lot of mystery and drama, but no solid explanations, like a constantly lying politician :D
Watching the last episode now, still the same status :D Tho white clothes nonsense was explained eventually.
