... showrunner Jac Schaffer told her that it would not continue into a second year because “she does one-offs”...
That's a crazy reason considering her résumé is all but 3 movies, 2 short-films and 2 tv-shows... can't imagine Marvel / Disney making their decision depending on a second season in consideration of a statement like that - easily replaced.
Agatha All Along (Disney+, Status: Mini-Series): This WandaVision spin-off was planned as a mini-series, though there were talks of continuing it after viewership for the show was strong this past Fall. But according to series star Patti Lupone, showrunner Jac Schaffer told her that it would not continue into a second year because “she does one-offs”. Now apparently Marvel and Disney did want a second season of the show and a listing for it did show up previously in Production Weekly. That could just be a placeholder for a potential spin-off that would focus on the search for the Scarlet Witch's son Tommy Maximoff, aka Speed. Or it is possible that the streaming service is still considering a second season for Agatha All Along. Ultimately, the corporate execs will make the final decision, and they could carry on the series without Jac Schaffer at the helm.

1x9 So... the viewer should feel sympathy with a mass murderer of witches?
Yes, the plot-twist was nice, but I'm happy that this mess of a show is over now. 7/10 from me, but more like 6.6/10.
I think even 6.6 is far too generous. I'd happily give it 2/10.

Meh...the last two episodes were overall disappointing.
Kathryn Hahn was amazing however, great acting.
Two good things though:
Agatha and Rio, the interactions, the fighting and the goodbye - well done.
The plot-twist was amazing. That The Road was conjured by Teen, that the song was made up by Nicky and that it was a scam to lure in witches - did not see that coming.
Everything else
So Rio is "The Death"...a witch? - so she is alive since (almost) the beginning of time? - or what are we to take from that... if that were true I can't imagine her playing with the rules so fast and loose.
On another note: Aubrey Plaza would've made an amazing Death on "The Sandman" :) (in a proper adaption of the graphic novel ofc).
Apart from the plot-twist, the backstory was quite the let-down. At the very least they should have told us "why" Agatha lures in witches and drains their magic. Is is part of the purple that you constantly run out of magic and have to replenish?
In regards to Nicky, neither Agatha nor Rio did anything wrong.... what was even the point of it all. From the flashbacks it's hard to imagine how everyone heard "rumors" about what happened to Nicky.
When Teen shows up in that awful costume...omg... this character is the worst part about this show (think I mentioned that before :) ).
Episode 9 was pointless...seems to me that the ending was completely reliant on a second season happening.

I got bored with it after 3 episodes and have given up on it. Not one for me.

It just seems to be a show nobody asked for, with a story going nowhere.
I really enjoyed WandaVision, I remember everyone slating it when it came out, but I seemed to pick up on what was going on while nobody else did.
This just seems to be one of those shows that's trying to be more clever than what it is and it's just... meh. And I'm fine if I am alone in that opinion.
Yeah, WandaVision was less accessible than most shows... This show is more accessible, but lacks quality. :)
