Its funny, the Orville has toned down the comedy and Star Trek turned it up. Love it.

@Merc, resist the quiff, and Lighton, I just knew you'd chime in on this, and I think you're right, it almost seems intentional at this point, like hair and makeup are reading our posts, and going up and up, just for merc. :p
I had a look at the original Pike and thats where the hair comes from as the original Star Trek is ancient and many looks are so dated now. SO just a continuation of that era.
