Engineered as an anthology, each season of True Detective introduces new cast ensembles, characters, settings, and self-contained narratives.
The show's first season is set in Louisiana and follows a pair of Louisiana State Police homicide detectives (McConaughey and Harrelson), and their pursuit of a serial killer over the course of seventeen years.
Sorry, no info about the next episode of True Detective is available yet.
The TV show is either in vacation or waiting to start their new season. When information about future episodes becomes available, it will be posted here.
Haha I loved it tho, great acting, good story, interesting characters, nice buildup and tension.
Ending could have been better.

This one was total s***.
I agree. And yet the ratings are high and it seems to have a lot of good reviews? I don't get it.
S4 was utterly terrible. Just woefully dull and pedestrian.
And yet the director has been handed the keys for a Season 5....

Season 4: what was this sh**???
I think this is another example of why it'd be best to give ratings to individual seasons. The first two or maybe maybe three seasons of True Detective were good. This one was total s***.

This season sux MAJOR arse.
ep 1: 8/10 interesting premise
ep 2: 9/10 liking the detectiving angling
ep 3: 2/10 horrible struggle to get through. they've given up doing detectivey stuff and gone the boring soapie melodrama route with all the chicks and characters who I dont care if they live or die
ep 4: 0/10. I give up. Totally boring soapie that seems like it was written by Chat GPT

I'm really looking forward to this season. It's amazing to see the evolution of Jodie Foster through the years, from teen prostitute to curmudgeon police chief. So far, the best part has been Kali Reis as Evangeline Navarro. What a badass! Killer ending. I hope this discussion group is positive.

I didn't care for the newest episode. They seem to be going the X-Files / Twin Peaks route with a bunch of the current hot topics / takes that don't really need to be there. Jody Foster was great and pretty much carried it through. I felt there was a lot of stiff / forced acting.
I might watch E2, but I'm not holding out for it to take a turn for the better.

Well just watched this weeks episode I think the high point was ep4 but overall it was pretty disappointing
Considering how gripping the previous season was, yeah.
