meh, I never finished watching this, now resumed - got to ep 6 and I think I will drop it, what a garbage, lol. Half of the cast got into a car crash? Suddenly story line abrupts and some strange lady is in the labor :D King still alive, the rest of the cast went from shady to criminal. The knight, who punched to the death that guy, still alive and well, like nothing happened - these are The Mosquito Coast level facepalms. Will watch Barbarians S02 instead.

And of course now that I'm actually looking forward to this every week it's season over. I get why newborns on shows are 6 months old half the time but you'd think they could make a more believable model for a premature stillborn.

Lamprey pie gets mentioned every 5 minutes in the GoT books. Idk how much lamprey is around in your part of Canadia though. And you need plenty of mulled wine to go with it.
Check the food that goes forum, and let me know what you think. Never had lamprey, but the mulled wine is called Wassail in Canadia!

I'm thinking the folks who tuned in expecting a reality show about a Chinese restaurant are really disappointed as well.
Bahahahahaha!!!! damn that's funny! Best laugh I had all day, and I had a few good ones already.
It depends what you like really. I for one am all for the court intrigue and couldn't give a toss about the fantasy aspects.
That's exactly what kept me engaged throughout this season, especially with eps 7-9, although I don't mind the fantasy elements when done right. I loved the acting, dialogue, scheming, and its execution has been stellar so far. There is definitely a myriad of factors involved with each person's viewing pleasures and tendencies, and how much someone is willing to endure before calling it quits altogether. I like to keep things simple, so if a show is refusing to vibe with me then at some point it's going to end up in my rearview! I don't care if it's HotD, or the resurrected 9th season of GoT.
Westworld is a good example and my only exception. I watched the first two seasons but the second installment did it for me, so I dropped the series and haven't looked back since. I've heard good things about the 4th season (3rd season not so much lol), but I like to judge for myself. Still up in the air whether or not I want to revisit WW...

Me too, but this is House of the Dragon, it's not just some regular show I'd watch two or three episodes of and then ditch.
109 sucked. Usually the production value holds my attention and I can sit through an episode, but I started jumping through 109, then just skipped to the end. So so dumb. Ugh. Just to pile onto this redundant conversation, sometimes it goes; good episode, dumb episode, good episode, bad episode, meh episode, but it's still worth watching until a certain point and that point is different for everyone; could be somewhere in season 3 you stop, could be the pilot. I'll still watch the end of this season, but it got worse.
well it is far better than the Lord of the Rings prequel
Not in my opinion it's not. I much prefer Rings of Power.
Same, in my opinion, RoP was a much better show.

Yeah, I tend to do that too. The difference with me is that I usually have my mind made up way before reaching the second to last episode of the season. If I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open then it's not worth the rest of my time.
