After learning his wife was killed in a car-crash, ex-convict Shadow Moon finds himself under the employ of the elusive man known as 'Mr. Wednesday'. Unknown to Shadow, a war is brewing in America, between the Old Gods and the New Gods, and he's about to end up right in the middle of that chaos.
