The station, now under attack by Kabane, is the opportunity Ikoma has been looking for.

While the student council tries to impede his progress, Yamada restores the memories of the witches with a kiss, and gathers the seven witches for a ceremony where he wishes for the powers to go away. He confesses his love to Urara and they become a couple. He is recruited to the new student council where he learns that he still has his witch copying power, that the witch powers have been allocated to other girls in the school, and there are multiple groups of witches. Although the student council tries to shield each other from the powers, they find themselves facing opposition from students controlled by the Japanese Chess Club, which has male students with new types of witch powers.

In the story, the high school "Earth Defense Club" is basically the "do nothing club." Club members En and Atsushi are soaking in the bathtub at a public bath when suddenly a mysterious pink creature, Wombat, appears out of thin air and asks, "I want to save this star... please would you lend me your power?" Then, Yumoto, whose family runs the bath house appears and chases wombat to give him a hug. In school the next day, the remaining two members, Io and Ryū, also meet Wombat. Wombat gives all five of them bracelets and tells them to protect Earth. A dazzling light comes from the bracelets and envelops their bodies...

Astral explains to Yuma that his mission is to search for his lost memories, that were scattered across the world taking the form of 99 Exceed monsters called "Numbers", and to retrieve them, he must defeat the owners of each Number monster in a duel. Yuma agrees to help him, and thus their journey together begins.
